How work hours are calculated

Each shift runs from its start time to its end time. An end time at or before the start is treated as the following day, and break minutes are deducted after optional clock-time rounding.

Daily overtime is allocated first. Weekly overtime then applies to remaining regular minutes after the weekly threshold, so the same minute is not counted in both overtime categories.

Calculations stay in your browser. Device storage is optional and off until you enable it; disabling it removes the saved time card immediately.

Frequently asked questions

Can I enter more than one shift per day?
Yes. Add as many shifts as needed. The calculator flags shifts that overlap.
How are overnight shifts handled?
When the end time is at or before the start time, the shift is treated as ending on the next day.
Are daily and weekly overtime combined?
They can be enabled independently. Time already classified as daily overtime is not classified again as weekly overtime.
Does Calctiva store or transmit my time card?
Nothing is sent to a server. Optional browser storage is off by default, and turning it off removes the saved copy immediately.
